The circle of women coming to the Women’s Koru Group has grown over the last few weeks. There have been a couple of Fridays when we have had about 10-12 women come to connect, share, listen and grow their voice to look after their wellbeing.

This month we did an “Imagine” exercise, where we all put our hands together and imagined that “Tri-Fusion Café is full of women on Friday morning, coming together to build solidarity and grow their voice, and bring healing in their own life, and for their families”. We also imagined that our women group and its impact has grown so much that people like Helen Clarke are coming to talk to us and visit us and be with us to inspire us and themselves with the work we do.

Women’s Koru Group supports us to explore our identities and become a community of women that support each other. Tri-Fusion Café in Glen Innes host this space for us and is always giving us discounts and free coffees - a big thank you to them from all of us. If you have not visited this fantastic local business yet, check it out Glen Innes Town Centre, it is a popular community hub. Women living, working, and connected with the Tamaki communities are invited to join us for a coffee catch-up at Women’s Koru Group, 10.30am during school terms, every Friday.
