Community Training Workshops for 2020

HEART Change Agent and community development worker Candace Weir was invited to chat to Health Minister Hon Dr. David Clark at Harekeke House in November about her experience doing the Blueprint for Learning Mental Heath 101 course. (Candace) "I talked to the Minister who was familiar with our Tāmaki community about the importance of accessibility of these training workshops and how communities have a role to play in their own health." This event coincided with the government's announcement to provide more mental health and addiction training for front-line services. “To deliver that we need to invest in our mental health workforce, including more trained community-based workers." Health Minister Hon Dr. David Clark.
