#HEARTCovidChallenges
In response to lockdown 2021, the HEART Movement created a series of COVID Challenges which spanned the month of September. We know lockdown is a trying time for whānau (and all of us!) so we embarked on a mission to keep us together while we were staying apart…
The aim of the #HEARTCovidChallenges was to spread some positivity to our community and their bubbles, to empower our community through interaction, fun, positivity and most importantly - connections.
We based our challenges around Te Whare Tapa Rima which worked well with our Facebook lives…

Mondays: Whānau Challenges
Tuesdays: Wairua Challenges
Wednesdays: Whenua Challenges
Thursdays: Hinengaro Challenges
Fridays: Tinana Challenges
Each day we posted the details of each challenge and our community organised their bubble to take a photo and/or video of their entry using the hash tag #HEARTCovidChallenges
Thanks to the support of Foundation North, we were able to give out some AMAZING PRIZES to be won and many families loved getting amongst this awesome kaupapa!
Ngā mihi nui to all HEART whānau who got involved, made an entry, danced to a tiktok or went on a scavenger hunt! And a huge thank you to Foundation North for making the prizes possible.
